Driving & More Driving

After a long day on the road yesterday, we ended up at Deep Water National Park. We arrived in the dark and it is very tropical - the campsites are a little spooky at night. We woke up again at sunrise and J took a dip in the ocean in lieu of a shower. He then got chased around our campsite by a wild bush turkey - which was pretty hilarious. We 4WD'd it to Agnes Waters and The Town of 1770 (where Captain Cook first set foot on the continent in, you guessed it, 1770).
We are making a brief stop at McDonald's (of course) for our wi-fi hook up and are heading up towards the Tropic of Capricorn today.
Jonathan is currently in deep conversation with an Aussie motorcycle rider he befriended in the parking lot...they are now discussing Orange County Chopper and Russell Crowe. More to come soon....
